EruptNZ retrieves the volcano alert status for each of New Zealands volcanoes from the Geonet website. The alert status is a number from 0 to 5 and gives an indication of the current level of activity of that volcano, as defined by Geonet. 0 is described as the dormant or quiescent state while 5 is large hazardous eruption in progress. Selecting a volcano will display a map location of it.
